Rockstar responded to Red Dead Redemption 2’s Undead Nightmare rumors soon after they circulated the internet, shutting down a lot of the excitement swirling around the potential for zombies in the publisher’s currently available titles. Rockstar’s famed zombie mode soared to popularity in the first Red Dead Redemption but has not made an official return in the 2018 sequel despite fan anticipation and possible teases. However, Undead Nightmare has not seen the light of day in a GTA title. With the recent alien fad invading Grand Theft Auto Online, GTA has maintained a steady community contributing to its multiplayer mayhem. Special thanks to mlgthatsme for letting us use his NativePI menu base.A zombie mod for Grand Theft Auto 5, titled RottenV, brings an undead nightmare to GTA normally reserved for Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption franchise. Configuration file added that will generate in your root folder and in which you can set the menu key, zombie spawning number, etc. Zombies don't attack you until you come close (will be configurable). Fixed only a few zombies attacking you. Zombies will walk like zombies now towards you and try to kill you.

New Menu which will hold many more options such as inventory, contacts, etc. This includes a looting system, abandoned vehicles (with inventory and parts), store system, ally system, random events and more types of zombies.Ī LOT of things have been re-done in this update. We're only tweaking everything now so that it is perfect when we release it. The 0.2a update may seem small to you, but the reason for this update taking so long, is because everything has already been added to an API. Random events, stores, looting, shootouts, and more! More updates will come soon! As of now, the alpha is nothing compared to what we are doing in the future.
You can edit the menu key and other options in the ini file that is created in your root folder when the mod is launched. Press the "F7" key to open the menu and toggle the mod. To install, place GTZ.dll AND NativePI.dll into your scripts folder with ScriptHookVDotNet.dll. NOTE: If the zombies spawn somewhere else not near you, make sure you toggle off the mod, press Insert to reload the script and toggle the mod on again, it should fix this.
